Beyonce is staking claim in her husband’s hometown of Brooklyn, NY. Friday Beyonce officially opened up the Beyonce Cosmetology Center at the Phoenix House. The Beyonce Cosmetology Center is geared to help men and women who are interested in a career in cosmetology through a residential substance abuse program. Beyonce’s relationship with the Phoenix House began while she was researching drug addiction as she was to play the role of Etta James, who dealt with drug addiction, in the film Cadillac Records. According to Forbes, Beyonce donated her entire salary from the film Cadillac Records to the organization.

Nice gesture I suppose, although anything that power couple of Beyonce and Jay Z along with her mom is most suspect to me, since the messages in their music is not helping our youth one bit.
