Guru, the lyrical half of the Hip Hop duo Gangstarr, has undergone a successful surgery following a heart attack the rapper suffered over the weekend. Although Guru’s surgery was successful he still remains in a coma and is using a machine to help him breathe. “#Guru still in a med induced coma, he’s breathing with machine help. And please reporters, don’t copy without care. #Pray,” explained a Tweet made by DJ Premier earlier today (March 2). Last night (March 1), rumors began to spread on Twitter and other sites claiming that Guru had passed away, but a Tweet made by Q-Tip revealed that the rapper was in fact still alive. “Spoke to preemo. He’s in surgery still keep praying. He’s still here,” Q-Tip Tweeted. Guru is currently in stable condition.
