Add to that the popularity of products such as Latisse, a prescription only serum that promises longer, fuller lashes and other lash-boosting concoctions which have been selling like hot cakes, the lash industry is on a path to great growth (no pun intended). “Eyelashes are the fashion cosmetics of today,” said David Woolf of American International Industries, a manufacturer of false lashes. “Retailers need to realize eyelashes are a cosmetic and that this is a category that has shown double-digit growth year after year, ” Woolf stated.
