Today (March 9), marks the 13th anniversary of the death of legendary Brooklyn rapper Notorious B.I.G. Both fans of Biggie and celebrities are paying respects to the rapper in various ways from blog posts to Twitter updates. “Some artist may have recorded more hits than Big, but his music inspired a generation to think BIgger. #RipBIG,” said DJ D-Nice in a Tweet earlier today. #RIPBig is already the number one trending topic on Twitter. On March 9, 1997 Biggie was gunned down in Los Angeles following a party held by Vibe Magazine. Police have yet to find a suspect in the case.
