If you’ve put off painting your walls because you don’t want to deal with toxic fumes, now’s the time to get out your brushes. SafePaint will allow you to cover your walls in vibrant, harmless color.
SafePaint is manufactured by the Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company, and is a technologically advanced riff on the company’s original eponymous product. Milk-based paint has been in use since at least the days of King Tut, but was modernized by the Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company four decades ago. The lactic-based formula comes in powder form, and is “activated” when mixed with water. Because of its rustic, somewhat uneven finish, milk paint is best used on furniture. SafePaint, which also comes in powder form, has an even finish that lends itself well to interior walls.
Because the formulas don’t contain toxic matter, you won’t need to evacuate or aerate your rooms after painting. When wet, both formulas give off faintly earthy aromas, but once dry the finish is aroma-free. Believe it or not, to get the right consistency, you can blend the powder and water with your kitchen mixer!
How’s that for safe paint?
