Last week while Mother Nature piled on the snow, emerging artist Outasight tantalized us with his flow. The Yonkers, NY-bred rapper kicked off Honey’s first HiveSpot featured performance with an intriguing mash-up of old school-influenced rhymes and neo soul-meets-Maroon 5-style crooning. Trust us – honeys in attendance were swooning and hip hop heads bobbing.
Once the trendy troubadour wrapped his show, the energized crowd milled around the NYC venue, Collective Hardware, checking out the gallery and sipping cocktails.
When we finally stepped outside into the LES night, there was a blizzard at full blast. Still, its icy gusts had little effect compared to the not-so-quiet storm that’s brewing around Outasight. Looking back, we’ve got to say: it wasn’t just a “Good Evening.” It was a great one. To hear the songs that kicked off the Hive Spot’s series of live shows, visit Outasight’s MySpace page

You picked a great artist to jump off The Hive Spot. Kudos!
