Let’s get something out the way: celebrities who use their eminence to spread mass global awareness are the shit. Word to Brangelina. But when it comes to delivering music with a message (remember that?), few have recently managed to have their final product sound better, or even equal, to their do-good idea. Word to Rihanna. With that said, admittedly we’re awaiting this super-celebrity-squished “We Are The World” remake in support of Haiti earthquake relief, with a bit of a raised brow. With over 100 celebrities partaking from Kid Cudi to Celine Dion to Vince Vaughn and Lil Wayne, attempts at sonic cohesion seem suspect, but does it matter if it’s for a great cause?
