I response to your friend, Christianity and the bible is not something that is used to control every aspect of every person's life. It is a tool to get closer to God however you can. God KNOWS and doesn't EXPECT ANY OF US here on earth to be perfect. The only perfect HUMAN to EVER have walked this earth is Jesus. Period. Sooo with that being said, we all as humans on this earth should strive to be Christ-like. Not all of us will achieve that perfectly but, it's worth a try. God is a loving God (duh...that's why he will FORGIVE US when we ask for forgiveness). God doesn't hate US. He loves us. It's the Devil's ways that he hates. I understand that SOME people have their ways of communicating the gospel and God's word however, I find it TOTALLY UNFAIR for your friend to generalize Christians use of language as "violent and dramatic." Sounds to me like someone who just WANTS to point the finger. All in all, God is REAL and God is LIVING. BEST BELIEVE. Are the recent world events, signs of the end of the world??? I don't know. No on REALLY knows. Only God. Sooooo with that being said, just live right and do right by you and everyone around you. God is a loving God. His relationship to us is just like a relationship to a dad - that is why he is our Father. I'm not super "religious" or anything BUT, I am steadily trying to strengthen MY RELATIONSHIP with my heavenly DAD! :) Soooo LIVE RIGHT PEOPLE! That's all.

I went to the request line so he can come back on the radios and the
World can hear his songs again.Who am I to judge Chris Brown he only
Has one person to answer to and that's GOD.I will not judge him or
Rhianna because I'm not GOD. I hope everything works out well for
Chris and he can actually put all this behind him and move forward.
That is what life is about moving forward and learning from our faults
and mistakes. Stay positive!!!!!

After reading their interview I honestly wasn't feeling them because they really wasn't saying anything new but after watching their video it got me into them! Or maybe it was the Atlanta girl in me and the "Round'n round we go" sample! ;p

As black folks we sure reserve the right to pick and choose between right and wrong, don't we? Remember Robert Kelly? The man accused of peeing on a child as part of some sort of sexual freaky deeky of which there appeared to be video evidence? How many black women forgave him without so much as a thought? Ran out and bought Chocolate Factory as though it isn't slightly creepy to consider this man might be thinking about sexing teenagers while writing music 40-year-old women grind to at cookouts. But when I found out this 19-year-old young man had gotten himself into a VERY grown up situation, I was appalled at how little we, the community that so loved his youth and apparent naivete, were willing to do in the way of guiding him in the right direction as opposed to completely belittling his every effort at redemption. As far as I'm concerned this was a teachable moment for him AND Rihanna, but as a community we dropped the ball and neither of them may have learned much from it at all.

I feel for Chris. Did he mess up? He damn sure did. But it shouldn't be a two-way street with domestic violence. Tiger's wife went at him with a golf club and nobody has said anything about it! It's not okay for a woman to beat on a man and then have it be a problem if he reacts. Again, I don't condone his behavior, but gender isn't a free pass to hit someone and either get blacklisted, or praised. (Rihanna is no innocent party, and for the record, I thought her 20/20 interview was bullshit). He's an artist. There are plenty of artists who pay for sex, abuse drugs, and treat people as if they're worth less because they too are not a star. But we still love them. Chris Brown should be no different. God knows he's 10 times as talented as Rihanna could ever hope to be.

Who are we to forgive him or not? It's nobody's business. The artist/fan relationship, despite what people would like to believe, is about them putting out great music and killer performances, and the fans love it. Personally, artists owe us nothing. If everyone could get off their high horse and stop acting like they don't have skeletons in their own closet that they have been fortunate enough to be able to deal with without the media's input, that would be great. I don't remember meeting anyone perfect in my life. I highly doubt the writers and readers for Honey Mag have either.

It does pain me a bit to see Chris's career falter so much when he possesses so much potential and talent. I haven't bought Grafitti, but I do enjoy his mixtape.

P.S. I thought I was the only one annoyed by him calling his former girl "shawty" all the time. She wasn't just some girl he was f*cking but the girl he claimed to love more than anything. The term shawty seemed so disrespectful.
