Ok so clearly I owe some sort of explanation as to why I've disappeared and been very sporadic in my blogs for the last 9 months....Get it 9 months! I've had a child:-) I have been given the most wonderful blessing ever to be given to anyone EVER!!! So now that I have endured 15 hours of labor, got the hang of breastfeeding, and have returned to some sort of normalcy, the blogging must continue! My blogs have been reflective of my life and my opinion so you will occasionally see some blogs about babies and things related to babies. This brings me to my current subject!
I was watching Tyra today and this woman on there breastfed her daughter until she was 7. Now I said to myself this woman is a freak and is lightweight touched in the head BUT I kept watching so I could hear her our. She said that the average age to wean a child off of the breast is 5. To that I politely say HELL NAW! Once my son gets teeth he is to back away from the nipple immediately! If your child can stand up and put your breast in his/her mouth by his/herself that is way too old!! Like how gross do you feel that your child is talking to you between sucks. Or when he/she comes home from soccer practice and says "ok mommy titty time"! I'm all for giving the kids the best nutrition possible but YOU WISH! That lady is a wacko cracko!
