Ladies, as you probably have already noticed, football season is upon us.  And if you’re not an avid football fan, you’re probably already tired of being ignored by your “Boo” on Sunday’s and Monday’s. 

I’ve got news for you.  His time during football season is non-negotiable.  It’s a concept that, surprisingly, many women have not grasped. As the old saying goes, “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.”

Since you won’t get any of his time during football games on Sunday, Monday, and an occasional Thursday, you might as well just start to learn about this great American sport and begin to watch it with him, and enjoy it.

Here are a few pointers that will help you out during football season:

1. Do not ask your man questions about what you don’t understand during the game.  This is a MAJOR no-no.
2. Learn the basics-watch a game by yourself, jot down the terms you don’t know and get online to figure out what they mean.  This helps you gain a better overall understanding of what’s happening on the field.
3. Find out his favorite team-then research.  Find out who the key players on the team are, how many games they’ve won, and who they’re playing next.
4. Make NFL.com your best friend-you’ll find everything you need to know here.  Team stats, game times, scores and everything else.
5. Dress to impress-one football jersey mixed in with all your other chic clothes won’t hurt.  Just make sure it’s his favorite team and favorite player.
6. Make your game debut-after you’ve completed steps 1-5, watch the game with your boo and his boys.  He’ll be very impressed when you’re screaming at the TV and hollerin’ when points are scored.

Follow these pointers and you can’t lose.  Trust me. GO BEARS!!!!
